There are several methods to whiten teeth.
In-Office Whitening
This procedure involves placing a high-concentration bleaching material directly on your teeth. This procedure is completed in the office under supervision. A rubber dam is placed around all teeth to prevent your gums from being exposed. You’ll leave that day with a significantly whiter smile!
In-Office Whitening also includes a set of take-home whitening trays for you to continue to whiten at home.
Take Home Whitening Trays
These are included with our in-office whitening, or you can just have these fabricated for you to whiten at home at your convenience.
The benefit of the take-home trays is that they are custom-made to your teeth. This provides a better whitening than over-the-counter whitening strips like Crest White Strips because it keeps the concentration of bleaching agent directly on your teeth.
You should be aware that the results vary according to the individual, the innate shading of their teeth, and, of course, your diligence in following the instructions. It is also very helpful when you eliminate as many dark beverages from your diet as possible. These include colas, coffees, teas, red wines, etc. Also, you should not smoke during this period. Some side effects may be evident, including cold sensitivity and a rough feeling in your teeth. These will return to normal after the bleaching is completed. Overall, it’s a very exciting process.
