Dr. Richard J. Miller is bringing the newest technology and latest advancements in dentistry to the Centre Region.

Dr. Miller is from Tamaqua, PA, near Hazleton, and he is the first in his immediate family to attend college. His father was a mechanic and foreman at a local coal delivery business. His mother was a beautician and an organist/vocalist at their local church. Sadly, both have passed away, but they played a crucial role in shaping his life. Their loss has humbled him, and he strives to treat each patient like they are family. Dr. Miller also has an older sister who lives outside Scranton.

Dr. Miller received a Bachelor's Degree from Kutztown University, a Master's Degree from Villanova University, and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University. He is a graduate of Lehigh Valley Hospital's General Practice Residency where he gained valuable hospital-based dentistry experience. Dr. Miller enjoyed his residency experience so much that he still volunteers every other month as one of the attending dentists at Lehigh Valley Hospital's Dental Clinic. 

Dr. Miller is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Spear Study Club, and he volunteers his time at Centre Volunteers in Medicine in State College. He and his wife, Jen, have two young children, Ryan and Emily. Jen is a registered nurse who works in case management and is originally from Clearfield, PA. Dr. Miller and his family enjoy dining out, going on hikes, and spending time at the trampoline park and bounce house at the mall. They are very excited to be part of the Bellefonte and State College community.
